2008 MOST POPULAR DRUMMING PROGRAM!

DURATION: 2.5 Hours as a full morning or afternoon Program. 

IDEAL FOR: All age groups, conference fun team event, mid conference de-stress program, company mergers, seminars, suitable for all special events.

EQUIPMENT USED: Steel Pans, Snare Drums, Tom Drums, Xylophones, Djembes, Drum sticks, shakers, guiros, agogo bells and clap sticks.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program is stylistically based on the Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland with all the great action of African Drum Talk, plus the added fun of 'REAL' Scottish pipe band snare drums and bass drums and some steel drums which we bring with us. The participants will be learning how to play all of these great instruments. The group will then be split into two teams!

What else: Further to the music instruction, the teams will be given a list of instructions by the facilitators with an allocated time to do it in. Each team will be issued with a large bag of secret items inside which include very very comical and funny dress up props, materials to make kilts and outfits, and other fun accessories.Teamwork is essential in keeping to allotted times. The secret bags will have an instruction sheet inside describing how the outfits must appear, and each team will be designated a country to represent at the "Drumming Tattoo".

Once this is complete, each team will then put together their own creative great performance, under the guidance of the facilitator, this includes drumming composition, body movement, marching, and singing if they wish. The teams then deliver their performance to each other.

The big finale: We unite the drumming bands and build to a crescendo of drumming and singing as the facilitators work the beats with the team.

DURATION:  1.5 HOURS

IDEAL FOR:  All age groups, attempting something new, breaking down barriers, team effort, achievement.

EQUIPMENT USED:  All varieties of African drums, hand drums and percussion.  Dress up props.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Participants will sit in semicircles around a facilitator be given very basic instruction on how to work together to present rapping, rhythm and movement. Teams are put into groups and given a rhythm and rap to complete within a specific time frame.

Everyone will all have one authentic roped African drum each to use during the session, plus exciting items of percussion. We will give instruction on rhythms to support their team rap.

We will be instructing all participants on the various musical instruments. Rhythms and movement will be changed throughout the session, so the learning experiences for each person will be varied and most enjoyable. Your participants will have the wonderful opportunity to experience  "Group Vocal Call and Response Rapping and Drumming" and "Group Solo drumming".

There is complete teamwork here, loads of laughter, and positive outcomes.

DURATION:  2 – 2.5 HOURS

IDEAL FOR:  An exclusive and unique teambuilding experience, for smaller groups of 25 persons or less.

EQUIPMENT USED:  Drums, percussion, whistles, slappers, xylophones, notebooks, poster board.

WHERE:  This program takes place at recording studios.  Prices include hire of studios, hire of seating, session engineer, production, hand drums and percussion, extra facilitators.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  The goal of this program is to have the groups work together to create their own ditty, radio jingle, footy song, on paper, then receive drumming instruction on how to put rhythm behind their song.  They will then have the opportunity to go into the recording room and have their song recorded.  The ultimate in laughter, fun, and outcomes.

1. Participants arrive, and are given team instruction on how to put a jingle together; they are given a choice of three topics and have to choose one.
2. They are given a specific time to work within.
3. They are then given instruction on how to play hand drums rhythmically in order to have the drums recorded along with their created jingle.
4. We then go into the recording rooms, and prepare together to perform our work of art and be recorded.
5. We are given a listen back to what we recorded, and given the opportunity for 2 minor adjustments.
6. Your participants take a recording home with them.

NOTE:   The maximum number of participants that the studio can accommodate is 25 persons. 

DURATION: All day session. This can also be designed as a 2 day session.

IDEAL FOR: All ages, youth, brings out trust, empowerment, and leadership skills.

EQUIPMENT USED: Drum Kit, Tom Drums, Snare Drums, Steel Pans, African drums, and Cymbals.

This is a newly developed program and is unique to Drumfire. The program was put together due to the ever increasing demand by youth workers for programs that will connect with children of all ages, high school students, and youth groups in remote community areas.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Every participant gets a chance to learn rock drumming rhythms and world rhythms, and have great learning experiences on all the instruments. The goal of this program is to have a great rock drumming concert at the end of the session with everyone working as a unified band!

DURATION: 60 minutes OR a full day session.

IDEAL FOR: All age groups, a fun teaming session.

EQUIPMENT USED: Authentic African Drums, and Percussion.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: - The groups will be seated on chairs in a semicircle around the facilitators.

All participants will all have one authentic roped African drum each to use during the session, plus exciting items of percussion. 
Your teams will be instructed on how to use their hands on the skins to create different sounds,
We will be instructing all participants on the various musical instruments. Rhythm and movement will be changed throughout the session, so the learning experiences for each person will be varied and most enjoyable.
Everyone will have the wonderful opportunity to experience "Group Call and Response Drumming" and "Group Solo drumming".

The Big Finale - The groups will perform as a united drumming orchestra within the time allocated. Teams will be asked to interactively create their own compositions under our guidance and present them back to the other groups. This is teambuilding at its best! Laughing at it's best too!

DURATION:  1.5 HOURS

IDEAL FOR:  Very large groups, schools, youth.

EQUIPMENT USED:  African Drums, brightly coloured silky cloth or hand made batons.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This is a highly visual program. It brings out the creativity and natural rhythm in all participants.

The teams will sit in a semicircle around the facilitator.  Each participant will have a drum and piece of percussion for use during the workshop.  Instruction will be given on three individual drumming pieces for the teams to accomplish together.
We will also take position as drummers to join in the performance with the team.

The teams will also have brightly colored pieces of cloth or batons.  They will be instructed on how to wave the fabric in the air in united dance movements with their hands to create a wonderful visual display.  This is all done to the power of great African
Drumbeats.
